The Word on the Farm 'The Olympics'
This film was made at the end of June 2012. Latest news posted today 6th July: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/agriculture/farming/9380673/Farmers-threaten-milk-supply-disruption-during-Olympics.html at the time I made this film the dairy farm owner advised me that he was going lose around £2k per month as a result of the cuts of just 2p per litre, enough to close down his farm, other have closed down nearby. If this continues then there will be no dairy farms left in England and all the milk in the UK will have to be imported, but they're still upbeat about the olympic opening ceremony which is celebrating them, how ironic :)
The Olympic ceremony at London 2012 will recreate the great british countryside and farm in the Olympic stadium complete with farm animals http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/jun/12/london-2012-olympic-opening-ceremony?newsfeed=true
So following word on the street, this is word on the farm and so what do the all these great british farmers think about it?
